Harry Giles Transfers To Oak Hill For Senior Season

Jul 29, 2015 4:10 PM

Harry Giles will transfer to Oak Hill for his senior season.

“At this point I just really want to lock in on school and basketball at the highest level,” Giles told USA TODAY High School Sports. “I feel like going to Oak Hill it’ll give me the chance to do both. I won’t have anything to do but be a better student and a better player.”

Giles is considered the top player in the incoming college class of 2016.

“It was a really tough decision to leave my teammates and Coach Keith (Gatlin), that’s my guy that I’ve been rocking with since I got here,” said Giles, who recently cut his list of schools down to North Carolina, Kentucky, Wake Forest, Kansas and Duke. “But, at the end of the day, I’ve got to do what I feel is best for me to develop on and off the court.”

Jayson Tatum has committed to Duke, picking the Blue Devils over Kentucky, North Carolina and Saint Louis.

Tatum is ranked No. 2 in the Class of 2016.

"I love the way the program is run and I love the way the academics are set up," Tatum said of Duke. "My relationships with the Duke coaches were the best, and they made me a priority. They did the best job of recruiting me and have been at almost all my games, and that means a lot."

A 6-foot-8, 190-pound forward from Chaminade College Prep in Saint Louis, Tatum is a versatile and efficient perimeter player.
