During a panel at the Sloan Sports Analytics Conference, Bryan Colangelo admitted that the Toronto Raptors were attempting to tank during his tenure.

"Admittedly, I will say I tried to tank a few years ago," said Colangelo.

The Raptors finished the 10-11 season with a 22-60 record (.268 winning percentage) and a 23-43 record in 11-12 (.348 winning percentage).

The Raptors drafted Jonas Valanciunas and Terrence Ross with the picks that came as a result of their record.

Colangelo added that during those seasons he was also trying to develop young players.

The Boston Celtics do not plan to buy out Keith Bogans from his contract.

Danny Ainge discussed the team's plan to keep Bogans on Friday.

Bogans has appeared in only six games this season.

Caron Butler has agreed to sign with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Butler also strongly considered the Miami Heat.

Butler was bought out this week by the Milwaukee Bucks.

Danny Granger has decided to sign with the Los Angeles Clippers.

Granger reached agreement on a buyout with the Philadelphia 76ers earlier in the week.

Granger also considered the San Antonio Spurs, among other clubs.

The Chicago Bulls are close to signing Jimmer Fredette, according to sources.

A deal is not complete but there is serious mutual interest between both sides.

Fredette received a buyout of his contract from the Sacramento Kings on Thursday.

Chris Babb plans to sign a 10-day contract with the Boston Celtics, according to sources.

Babb is expected to sign the deal on Friday or Saturday.

Babb has averaged 11.9 points this season with the Celtics' D-League affiliate, the Maine Red Claws.

Ben Gordon and the Charlotte Bobcats continue dialogue on a buyout.

The Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Clippers and Houston Rockets are pitching two-year deals with a team option for 14-15. Gordon would prefer a deal that does not impact his free agency.

The Chicago Bulls and Cleveland Cavaliers have interest in signing Jimmer Fredette.

The Memphis Grizzlies were interest in Fredette, but he preferred other options.

Fredette has been waived by the Sacramento Kings, as they were unable to complete a trade involving him at the deadline.

The Bulls are approximately $600,000 below the tax threshold and the team believes it can sign a player to a prorated deal and avoid going down as a tax team.

David Aldridge of NBA.com reports that Fredette is "strongly leaning" toward signing with the Bulls.

Danny Granger is having phone conversations on Thursday with the San Antonio Spurs, Los Angeles Clippers, Miami Heat, Houston Rockets and Chicago Bulls.

Granger is expected to sign with the Clippers or Spurs, according to most reports.

Granger agreed to a buyout with the Philadelphia 76ers.

The New York Knicks has signed guard Shannon Brown and Earl Clark to 10-day contracts.

Brown, 6-4, 210-pounds, holds career averages of 8.0 points and 1.9 rebounds over 18.5 minutes in 384 games (58 starts) over eight seasons with Cleveland, Chicago, L.A. Lakers, Charlotte, Phoenix and San Antonio.

Clark, 6-10, 234-pounds, holds career averages of 4.5 points and 3.1 rebounds over 14.3 minutes in 242 games (54 starts) over five seasons with Phoenix, Orlando, L.A. Lakers and Cleveland.
