Montrezl Harrell Suspended Five Games For Shoving Referee

Montrezl Harrell has been suspended five games without pay for shoving a referee to the floor during an altercation with Derek Cooke Jr.

The incident occurred after the final of the Bakersfield Jam's win on Saturday over the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.

Harrell was on a D-League assignment by the Houston Rockets.

Blake Griffin Medically Cleared, Begins Serving Suspension

The L.A. Clippers announced Blake Griffin has been medically cleared for all basketball activities and will begin serving his four-game, team-imposed suspension on Sunday, March 27 when the Clippers play the Denver Nuggets. 

Griffin has missed the last 41 games with a partially torn left quad tendon and right hand fracture, and will return to action on Sunday, April 3 against the Washington Wizards.

In his 30 games this season, Griffin is averaging 23.2 points, 8.7 rebounds and 5.0 assists in 34.9 minutes

Dwight Howard Escapes Punishment From NBA On Stickum Incident

The NBA has decided not to suspend Dwight Howard for his stickum incident.

Howard put stickum on his hands and then wiped it off on the basketball before a Paul Millsap free throw.

The sent a memo to teams that the drying supplement is "strictly prohibited."

Matt Barnes Suspended One Game For Henson Incident

Matt Barnes has been suspended by the NBA for one game, claiming he tried to enter the locker room of the Milwaukee Bucks and also for verbally challenging John Henson.

Henson blocked Barnes' shot with 5.5 seconds left in the Bucks' 96-86 win over the Grizzlies in Milwaukee. After the play, Henson taunted Barnes and was given two technical fouls and ejected.

Barnes was charged with a technical foul and ejected for continuing to use obscenities.

The NBA also announced Saturday that Greivis Vasquez has been fined $15,000 for following Henson to the locker room, while Giannis Antetokounmpo and Greg Monroe have been fined $10,000 each for their roles.

Matt Barnes Runs After John Henson In Tunnel After Ejections

In the closing seconds of the Memphis Grizzlies' loss to the Milwaukee Bucks, Matt Barnes had a lay-up blocked emphatically by John Henson.

Henson and Barnes picked up a double-technical for jawing at each other and then Henson was given a second technical for taunting. Barnes took exception to the blocked shot by Henson.

Henson headed into the tunnel.

Several seconds later when Barnes was given a second technical, he ran down the tunnel presumably after henson with staffers of the Grizzlies chasing behind.

Photographs of Barnes' ex-wife and Derek Fisher on vacation also surfaced on Thursday.

According to Aron Yohannes of SBNation, Barnes was escorted out of the arena with two security beside him.

DeMarcus Cousins: Suspension Was From Head Coach

DeMarcus Cousins talked about his one-game suspension following his outburst against George Karl.

"That wasn't a suspension from the organization. That was a suspension from the head coach," said Cousins.

Cousins also said Karl hasn't spoken to him since their incident.

Cousins and Karl have been at odds since the end of last season.

Branden Dawson Arrested On Felony Domestic Violence Charge

Branden Dawson was arrested Sunday morning on a felony domestic violence charge.

Dawson, 23, is being held on $50,000 bond by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. He was arrested at 8:30 a.m. PT and booked at 9:50 a.m. PT on Sunday.

Dawson was arrested for an incident involving his live-in girlfriend.

Dawson was recalled to the Clippers from the NBA Development League's Erie BayHawks on Saturday morning.

DeMarcus Cousins Suspended One Game By Kings For Yelling At George Karl

DeMarcus Cousins has been suspended by the Sacramento Kings for one game for yelling at George Karl during a timeout.

Cousins was upset Karl didn't defend him enough to the referees in their loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

"He wasn't happy, but I wasn't happy," said Vlade Divac about his conversation with Cousins informing him of the suspension.
