Nick Minnerath of the Canton Charge has been named NBA Development League Performer of the Week for games played Monday, Feb. 22 through Sunday, Feb. 28. The honor is the first of Minnerath’s career.

Minnerath (6-9, 215, Detroit Mercy) led Canton to a 3-0 week, averaging 25.3 points (sixth in the league) on 60.5 percent shooting (26-for-43) to go with 8.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists. He scored at least 20 points in three consecutive games for the second time this season, helping push Canton’s winning streak to 12.

On Feb. 26, he recorded a double-double with 26 points and 10 rebounds in a 107-96 victory over the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. On Feb. 28, he tallied 29 points on 10-of-13 shooting to go with five rebounds and two assists.
Minnerath is averaging 18.1 points on 50.8 percent shooting along with 6.7 rebounds

Jordan McRae is expected to sign a 10-day contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

McRae is currently in the D-League with the Delaware 87ers.

McRae is averaging 23.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 1.7 steals in 35.4 minutes per game with a PER of 19.3 this season.

McRae appeared in seven games earlier this season with the Phoenix Suns.

The Detroit Pistons will sign Justin Harper to a 10-day contract.

Harper played for the Pistons in Summer League and Stan Van Gundy was with the Orlando Magic when he was drafted by the team in 2011.

Harper has been averaging 14.8 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 27.9 minutes per game in the D-League with the Los Angeles D-Fenders.

Vander Blue of the Los Angeles D-Fenders has been named NBA Development League Performer of the Week for games played Monday, Feb. 15 through Sunday, Feb. 21.

Blue (6-4, 200, Marquette) helped Los Angeles to a 3-0 week, averaging 29.7 points (second in the league) on 46.7 percent shooting (28-for-60) to go with 7.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.0 steals. He connected on 28-of-31free throw attempts, good for 90.3 percent.

On Feb. 20, he scored 30 points on 11-for-19 shooting to go with eight rebounds in a 135-118 victory over the Reno Bighorns. On Feb. 21, he recorded 31 points, six rebounds and three assists in a 121-106 win over the Fort Wayne Mad Ants.

The New York Knicks have signed Jimmer Fredette from the NBA Development League’s Westchester Knicks to a 10-day contract. 

Fredette, 6-2, 195-pounds, holds career averages of 6.0 points, 1.4 assists and 1.0 rebounds over 13.5 minutes in 233 games (seven starts) over five seasons with Sacramento, Chicago and New Orleans. He rejoined the Westchester Knicks, after being waived by the Pelicans on Nov. 19, 2015, and has averaged 21.8 points (fifth in the D-League), 4.8 assists and 4.6 rebounds over 36.2 minutes in 30 games. He earned MVP honors after a game-high 35 points in the D-League All-Star game in Toronto, ONT last weekend.

The Phoenix Suns have signed Phil Pressey to a 10-day contract.

Pressey was averaging 13.0 points, 4.4 rebounds and 6.4 assists in 33.9 minutes over 25 games this season in the D-League with the Idaho Stampede.

Pressey went undrafted in 2013 out of Missouri and has previously played with the Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers.

The Los Angeles Clippers plan to sign Alex Stepheson to a 10-day contract.

Stepheson currently leads the D-League in rebounding.

Jimmer Fredette was named MVP of the D-League All-Star Game with 35 points.

Fredette is still trying to get back to the NBA.

"You're always hopeful," said Fredette. "Everybody in this league, that's what their dream is. They want to get back or into the NBA, or further their career. That's what this league is for, and I'm no different."

Fredette is averaging 22.6 points and 4.8 assists per game for the Westchester Knicks.

Elliot Williams has signed with Panathinaikos.

Williams was most recently in the NBA with the Memphis Grizzlies and was named to the D-League All-Star team.

Terrico White of the Bakersfield Jam has been named NBA Development League Performer of the Week for games played Monday, Feb. 1 through Sunday, Feb 7. The honor is the first of White’s career.

White (6-5, 190, Ole Miss) helped Bakersfield to a 3-0 week, averaging 29.7 points (third in the league) on 52.5 percent shooting (32-for-61) to go with 6.7 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.0 steals. He connected on 12-of-25 attempts (48.0 percent) from three-point range.

On Feb. 2, he scored a season-high 37 points, including eight three-pointers, and added eight rebounds and four assists in a 132-111 victory over the Oklahoma City Blue.  On Feb. 4, he recorded 31 points and five rebounds in a 117-197 win over the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.
