Blake Griffin Won't Play For Team USA In Offseason

Blake Griffin will not participate in the upcoming USA Basketball Team training camps and exhibition tour this summer.

Griffin underwent a bone marrow procedure on his left quad tendon on April 27 and has already begun the rehabilitation process with the expectation that he will be ready for the start of the 2016-17 NBA season.

Griffin initially suffered the quad injury on December 25th.

Kristaps Porzingis won't participate in qualifying for the Olympics this summer with the Latvian national team.

The tournament will take place one month before the start of the Olympics.

The New York Knicks will retain more control over the training and conditioning of Porzingis this summer.
