Stephen Curry, Kyle Lowry Named NBA's Players Of The Week

Stephen Curry and Kyle Lowry have been named the NBA's Players of the Week. 

Curry had point totals of 36, 42, 51 and 46 last week for the Golden State Warriors, including a 12-for-16 three-point shooting game against the Thunder.

Lowry led the conference in scoring last week averaging 28.7 points, while shooting 28-for-47 (.596) from the field and 7-for-17 (.412) from three-point range. He also ranked second in the conference averaging 8.7 assists in three games for the Raptors.

Isaiah Thomas, LaMarcus Aldridge Named Players Of The Week

Isaiah Thomas and LaMarcus Aldridge have been named the NBA's Players of the Week.

Thomas led the Celtics to a 4-0 week, including a road victory against the Eastern Conference-leading Cleveland Cavaliers. He averaged 20.3 points (12th in the East), 7.0 assists (tied for fourth in the conference) and 4.5 rebounds. On Feb. 7, the Celtics' point guard capped his week by recording 22 points, nine assists, four rebounds, two steals and only one turnover as Boston defeated the Sacramento Kings 128-119 for its ninth victory in 10 games. Thomas, a first-time NBA All-Star selection, will appear in the 65th NBA All-Star Game on Sunday, Feb. 14 at Air Canada Centre in Toronto.

Aldridge, who was also selected to the 2016 NBA All-Star Game, sparked the Spurs to a 4-0 week. He averaged 26.0 points (tied for seventh in the NBA), 7.3 rebounds and 2.5 blocked shots (tied for fourth in the West). He shot 59.7 percent from the field and 90.9 percent from the free throw line. Aldridge scored at least 26 points in three of four games, including a season-high 36-point performance to go with six rebounds and three blocks in a 110-97 victory against the New Orleans Pelicans on Feb. 3.

Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan have been named co-winners of the Eastern Conference Player of the Month award for January, while Kevin Durant received the honor in the Western Conference.

DeRozan ranked second among Eastern Conference players in January, averaging 23.9 points and recording eight games with 20+ points. He shot .442 (118-for-267) from the field, .417 (15-for-36) from three-point range and .848 (84-for-99) at the free throw line. DeRozan scored a season-high 35 points January 8 at Washington and matched a career-high with 11 rebounds January 14 during an NBA Global Game in London, England versus Orlando. He also matched a career high with three consecutive 30-point games January 18-22, averaging 32.3 points during this stretch.

Lowry finished seventh in East scoring last month averaging 21.7 points and was the only player in the conference to record 300+ points, 90+ assists and 30+ steals. Lowry matched a season high by making seven three-pointers January 18 versus Brooklyn and ranked second among East players with 39 three-pointers. He recorded five double-doubles during the month, which tied for second among East guards. Lowry recorded a season-high 11 assists January 1 versus Charlotte and matched a season high with 10 rebounds January 8 at Washington.

Durant finished second in the NBA in scoring (28.5 ppg) and added 9.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists as the Thunder went 13-3 in January. He shot 49.7 percent from the field and 88.8 percent from the free throw line.

Karl-Anthony Towns, Kristaps Porzingis Win Rookie Of The Month For January

Karl-Anthony Towns and Kristaps Porzingis have been named the NBA's Rookies of the Month for January.

Towns and Porzingis have won the award in each of the previous two months of the season as well.

Porzingis ranked fourth among all first-year players in scoring (15.3 ppg) and second in rebounding (7.2 rpg) in January. He also tied Towns for the rookie lead in blocked shots (1.63 bpg) and paced the East's first-year players in three-point field goal percentage (37.5). Porzingis posted four point-rebound double-doubles, including a 28-point, 11-rebound performance in a 100-99 loss to the San Antonio Spurs on Jan. 8. He scored at least 12 points in 13 straight games from Jan. 3-26.

Towns was the only first-year player to average a double-double in January, with 16.9 points (third among all rookies) and 10.9 rebounds (tops among all rookies), and he shot 53.5 percent from the field and 87.2 percent from the free throw line. In the final seven games of the month, Towns recorded six double-doubles and averaged 22.7 points and 12.6 rebounds. On Jan. 20, Towns finished with 27 points, 17 rebounds and six blocks in a 106-94 loss to the Dallas Mavericks, becoming the only NBA player to reach those totals in a game this season.

Dwyane Wade, Kevin Durant Named NBA Players Of The Week

Dwyane Wade and Kevin Durant were today named NBA Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played Monday, Jan. 25 through Sunday, Jan. 31.

Wade led the Heat to a 4-0 week, which included wins over the Chicago Bulls and Atlanta Hawks, behind averages of 24.0 points (tied-third in the Eastern Conference), 7.0 assists (fourth in the conference), 4.8 rebounds, 2.0 steals (tied-eighth in the conference) and 1.75 blocks (tied-fifth in the conference). On Jan. 26, he tallied 27 points, eight assists, four rebounds, three steals and two blocks during a 102-98 win over the Brooklyn Nets.

Durant's league-best 34.7 points on the week helped the Thunder to a 3-0 record. He ranked fourth in the Western Conference with 11.7 rebounds, contributed 4.3 assists and averaged a conference-high 40.0 minutes. Durant recorded point-rebound double-doubles twice, including a 44-point, 14-rebound outing on Jan. 26, as the Thunder topped the New York Knicks 128-122 in overtime.
