Manny Harris of the Canton Charge has been named NBA Development League Performer of the Week for games played Jan. 23-29.
Harris averaged 25.0 points, 7.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists in 34.0 minutes, while shooting 52 percent from the floor last week. He scored a season-high 32 points in a 93-104 loss against the Springfield Armor on Jan. 24, and recorded his first double-double of the season with 22 points and 10 rebounds in a 124-108 road win over the Bakersfield Jam on Jan. 27. Harris and the Charge went 2-1 during the week.

Ben Uzoh of the Rio Grande Valley Vipers has been named NBA Development League Performer of the Week for games played Jan. 16-22.
Uzoh, a 6-3, 205-pound guard out of Tulsa, averaged 22.3 points, 8.3 assists and 7.3 rebounds in 37.0 minutes, shooting 66 percent from the floor. He scored a season-high 31 points to go with 10 assists for his first double-double of the season in a 116-104 road win over the Reno Bighorns on Jan. 21 as the Vipers went 3-0 last week.
For the season, Uzoh is averaging 20.8 points, 7.6 rebounds and 6.0 assists in 37.8 minutes.

Justin Dentmon of the Austin Toros was today named NBA Development League Performer of the Week for games played Jan. 9-15.
Dentmon, a 6-0, 185-pound guard out of Washington, averaged 26.3 points, 7.0 assists and 4.3 rebounds in 39.5 minutes last week, shooting 53 percent from the floor. He tied a season-high with 31 points in a 114-107 road win over the Reno Bighorns on Jan. 15 as the Toros went 3-1 on the week.
For the season, Dentmon is averaging 23.9 points, 5.3 assists and 4.3 rebounds.

Top NBA prospects Justin Dentmon (Austin Toros), Andre Emmett (Reno Bighorns), Gerald Green (Los Angeles D-Fenders), Brandon Costner (Los Angeles D-Fenders) and Marcus Lewis (Tulsa 66ers) were named to the 2012 All-NBA D-League Showcase First Team, as selected by a panel of NBA scouts following the four-day 16-game NBA D-League Showcase that took place this week in Reno, Nev.
Reno’s Blake Ahearn, Texas’ Booker Woodfox, Austin’s Lance Thomas, Tulsa’s Larry Owens and Erie’s Chris Daniels comprise the 2012 All-NBA D-League Showcase Second Team, while Fort Wayne’s Walker Russell, Dakota’s Edwin Ubiles, Reno’s Bobby Simmons, Sioux Falls’ Anthony Mason, Jr. and Rio Grande Valley’s Greg Smith round out the Third Team. An additional 17 players earned Honorable Mentions.

Los Angeles D-Fenders forward Brandon Costner has been named NBA Development League Player of the Month for games played in Nov. and Dec. The honor, the first of the 2011-12 season, is also the first of Costner’s NBA D-League career.
Costner (6-9, 235, North Carolina State), led Los Angeles to a 10-6 record during Nov. and Dec., averaging 25.7 points on 47-percent shooting to go with 6.1 rebounds and 2.2 assists. He scored a season-high 42 points in a 90-97 loss to the Idaho Stampede on Dec. 10, and four-times notched 30-plus point games.

Blake Ahearn and Andre Emmett of the Reno Bighorns were today named NBA Development League Co-Performers of the Week for games played Dec. 26 – Jan. 1.
Ahearn, a 6-3, 190-pound guard out of Missouri State, averaged 30.0 points on 64 percent shooting to go with 5.7 assists and 4.3 rebounds, while Emmett, a 6-5, 224-pound forward out of Texas Tech, averaged 26.0 points on 67 percent shooting along with 6.0 rebounds and 4.7 assists as the Bighorns went 2-1 on the week.
Ahearn began the week with back-to-back 35-point outings as the Bighorns defeated the Idaho Stampede 120-98 on Dec. 26 and the Bakersfield Jam 139-114 on Dec. 29. In his third game of the week, he registered 20 points, four rebounds and four assists in a one-point loss, 98-99, to the Jam on Dec. 30. For the season, Ahearn is averaging 26.2 points and 7.0 assists in 39.6 minutes.
Emmitt scored a week’s high 39-points to go with eight rebounds and eight assists in the Dec. 29 outing against the Jam and returned the next night to score 29 points, pulling down five rebounds and dishing out four assists on Dec. 30. Against the Stampede, he chipped in with 10 points and five rebounds in the win on Dec. 26. On the season, Emmitt is averaging 20.6 points and 4.6 rebounds in 32.4 minutes.
