Fenerbahce Denies Talks For Bogdan Bogdanovic

Feb 25, 2014 11:59 AM

Bogdan Bogdanovic is signed with Partizan through the 15-16 season, but he has been linked to a potential move to Fenerbahce for the 14-15 season.

Bogdanovic will be eligible for the 2014 NBA Draft.

Fenerbahce responded in a press release.

"Today, at home and abroad on several internet sites it was reported that Partizan player Bogdan Bogdanovic will be transferred to Fenerbahce Ulker, news that don’t reflect the truth. Right now, our team is focused only on the season, trying to achieve success in TBL and Euroleague. Recently news like these are aiming at the harmony of our team and should not be treated as news.”

Lester Hudson Receives Inquiries From Grizzlies, Knicks, Clippers As Chinese Season Nears End

Feb 24, 2014 1:38 PM

As an MVP-caliber season nears an end with Xinjiang in China, Lester Hudson has received inquiries from the Memphis Grizzlies, New York Knicks and Los Angeles Clippers, looking into the guard’s availability, league sources told RealGM.

In helping take Xinjiang to the Chinese Basketball Association playoffs and leading the club to the second-best record in the league, Hudson is averaging 26 points, 7.6 rebounds and five assists. The CBA regular season concluded on Feb. 16, bringing a flurry of American players back to the free agency pool, but Hudson remained with his team in postseason play and will become available soon.

Hudson, a crafty 6-foot-3 guard, played for the Utah Jazz in training camp this season and averaged nearly five points on 45.5 percent three-point shooting over five preseason games. He also had been a focal point of the Los Angeles Lakers’ entry in the Las Vegas Summer League.

In three NBA seasons, Hudson averaged 4.8 points and 1.3 assists. His best stretch came as a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers to finish the 2011-12 season, when he scored 12.7 points per game and appeared to solidify himself as a rotation player.

Hudson went to the Boston Celtics with the 58th overall draft pick in 2009.

Tomic set career highs with 24 points and a performance index rating of 36, which was the highest off any player in the competition all week.

Tomic led Barcelona to a 68-80 victory at rival Laboral Kutxa Vitoria by going 8-for-9 from the floor, in addition to nine rebounds plus two assists, two steals and one block in a terrific performance. Victor Khryapa flirted with what would have been the third triple-double in competition history, but had to settle for the week’s second best index rating.

Tiny Gallon Rejects Offer From Liaoning Of China To Continue Pursuing NBA

Feb 9, 2014 6:21 PM

Behind an assertive two-month stretch with Delaware of the NBA Development, Tiny Gallon has received – and rejected – a nearly six-figure proposal from Liaoning in the Chinese Basketball Association, sources told RealGM.

Liaoning pursued Gallon to bolster its roster for the upcoming Chinese postseason, but Gallon had made clear his desire to remain in the D-League and chase a return to the NBA.

Gallon posted two of the D-League season’s most impressive performances in January, totaling a combined 63 points and 41 rebounds in back-to-back games for Delaware. For the season, the 6-foot-9 big man is averaging 16.9 points and 9.4 rebounds in 18 games.

Gallon, a second round pick in the 2010 NBA draft, had dropped out of the league after joining the Milwaukee Bucks and Boston Celtics for training camps, facing questions surrounding his maturity and work ethic. Amid humbling stints overseas and in the D-League, he’s worked to shed weight and has gained traction as an NBA hopeful.

Gallon, 23, participated in a mini-camp with the New York Knicks last summer and has maintained dialogue with the Philadelphia 76ers this season, sources said.

Out of the basketball famed Oak Hill Academy, Gallon spent one season at the University of Oklahoma, averaging 10.3 points and 7.9 rebounds as an All-Freshman center.
