Nemanja Bjelica of Fenerbahce Ulker Istanbul has been named Euroleague MVP for March.

Bjelica, 26, led Fenerbahce's take-over of Top 16 Group F with four victories in March that extended its winning streak to a club-record nine games. The average margin of victory for Fenerbahce in March was an incredible 14.5 points per game. The highlight was the first win by any Euroleague opponent on the floor of Olympiacos Piraeus in more than year.

Bjelica finished the month with a stream of stats - 15 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 block per game.

Alessandro Gentile of EA7 Emporio Armani Milan has won Euroleague MVP honors for Top 16 Round 12.

Gentile led his team to a 99-85 victory over Laboral Kutxa Vitoria on Thursday with a career-high 29 points. He also established a career best with a performance index rating of 30, which was the highest of any player on a winning team in Top 16 Round 12.

Gentile, who has averaged 23.8 points over his past four games, made 4 of 5 threes against Laboral, grabbed 7 rebounds and dished 4 assists.

Metta World Peace has signed with Pallacanestro Cantu of Italy for the remainder of the season.

World Peace started the season in China.

World Peace last played in the NBA in 2013.

Ante Tomic had 16 points on perfect shooting, plus 12 rebounds and 6 assists with a performance index rating of 35, which earned him Euroleague MVP honors for Top 16, Round 10.

Barcelona defeated Maccabi Tel Aviv 89-71 in the game.

This is the second time Tomic has won the award this season.

The National Basketball League of Australia and New Zealand is down to just six teams.

Townsville and Wollongong have each entered into voluntary administration.

Andrew Gaze, speaking on his SEN Radio show ‘Morning Glory’ on Wednesday morning, said the NBL should close its league and only relaunch it when it's ready.

“I have never held this view at all throughout this challenging phase of the NBL, but I have reached a position where I think they are better off regrouping and shutting it down,” Gaze said.

“Even if these two teams (Wollongong and Townsville) somehow find a way to get through administration, nothing is going to change significantly to turn around their plight because it is a slow burn.

“So shut it down, regroup and get the right model because the model is broken.”

Reggie Redding of ALBA Berlin has been named Euroleague MVP of the Top 16, Round 9.

Redding had 27 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Redding also was an effective shooter, making 6 of 11 two-point shots, both of his three-point attempts and shooting 9 of 10 from the foul line in amassing a performance index rating of 36, which was the highest of any player in Top 16 Round 9.

Rudy Fernandez has been named Euroleague MVP for February.

Fernandez finished February's three games with averages of 18 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.7 steals, with a per-game index rating of 25.3 that was second-best for the month.

The monthly award is the first of Fernandez's Euroleague career.
