Donovan: Basketball Part Of NBA Intriguing

May 28, 2014 12:20 PM

Billy Donovan signed a three-year extension in February with Florida that runs through the 18-19 season.

Donovan was contacted by the Cleveland Cavaliers for their head coaching vacancy and though he appears likely to stay at Florida, he admits to being intrigued by the NBA.

"All I can say is I love Florida, I'm happy here, (athletic director Jeremy Foley's) been great, the school's been great to me," Donovan said Tuesday. "But at the same point, some of the NBA stuff, as I've said before, is intriguing in a lot of ways -- the basketball part of it. That's not to say that I'm unhappy here; that's not the case at all."
