Lamar has fired Pat Knight as head coach.

Lamar has a 3-22 record this season, and Knight had two more seasons on his deal.

"I was told last night to meet with the president and the AD this morning at 10 a.m.,'' Knight said. "I knew it. There's no talk. They said they want to go in a different direction. We struggled for two years. It's all based on the record. It's part of the business."

Knight previously replaced his father, Bob Knight, at Texas Tech.

Oklahoma State has dismissed Stevie Clark from their basketball program.

Clark was arrested on Sunday for reportedly urinating in public.

Clark was arrested on Jan. 1 for marijuana possession.

Clark was averaging 5.3 points and 2.7 assists in 16.0 minutes per game.
