- It is hard to imagine that a man who underwent a kidney transplant and rehabilitated and managed to return to one of the world?s most grueling physical arenas could be disliked, but after a series of classless moves, Alonzo Mourning might just be the most hated player in the NBA.

He plays a pro wrestling version of basketball, with all of his flexing and posturing.

He was once a very good player, who worked hard and did the little things. He still works hard and still does the little things, the sort of blue collar work ethic that fans gravitate towards, but his gyrations and ?look at me? attitude cancels out the hustle.

- A general manager position will be perfect for Larry Brown, who doesn?t appear to be healthy enough to go through the emotional and physical stress that is a requisite for any NBA coach.

With LeBron James on his roster and plenty of cap room, Brown will be at the helm of the NBA?s most intriguing situation. James is 0 for 2 qualifying for the playoffs and their roster needs major work, but Brown should be able to surround the young star with some quality talent, starting with free agent Antonio Daniels.

Dan Gilbert wants Brown and has already added another Brown, Mike Brown. Mike Brown has been an assistant for Rick Carlisle in Indiana and will be a great fit for the franchise.

Gilbert might add a member of the Spurs' front office in Danny Ferry. Ferry is an excellent executive, as he has studied under RC Buford, who is undoubtedly one of the league's one or two best GM's.

- Supposedly Channing Frye of Arizona is quickly moving up the ranks of the draft list, but any team using a lottery pick on the center shouldn?t expect anything more than a good-guy backup. He would be an interesting pick for Phoenix at 21, as he could stay in Arizona and give the Suns another frontcourt option. He is an effective shot blocker and with a few more pounds on his frame, he will be able to take the pounding of the NBA?s most fearsome centers and forwards.

- In other draft news, Gerald Green now has an agent, meaning he will be available for the Portland TrailBlazers at number three.

He will become the Blazers best shooting guard since they decided to stick with Clyde Drexler and not draft Michael Jordan in 1984.

The Blazers will all of a sudden have more talent than they can manage and the decision as to who should become their head coach is even more crucial. With no veteran leader, the Blazers will need a stern coach, yet one who can relate to his young players, former Blazers guard Steve Kerr would be a perfect fit.

- P.J. Carlesimo has served his ?penance? for getting choked by Latrell Sprewell and is now on the verge of becoming the new head coach of the Minnesota Timberwolves . He has one of the most well-respected coaching minds in the NBA and with a few shrewd moves, perhaps Sam Cassell for Jason Williams and the T-Wolves will promptly return to the playoffs.
