07/23/08: The New Orleans Hornets sign forward James Posey.
08/27/07: The Boston Celtics signed free agent James Posey to a multi-year contract.
06/30/06: James Posey of the Miami Heat picked up the player option on his contract.
08/09/03: James Posey officially became a Memphis Grizzley after the Rockets failed to match his contract offer.
07/23/03: The Grizzlies signed James Posey to a four-year, $22.6 million offer sheet. The Rockets now have 15 days to decide whether to match the offer and Keep Posey or let him go.
12/18/02: The Nuggets traded James Posey to the Rockets in a three way trade. The Rockets sent Kenny Thomas to the Sixers. The Sixers sent Art Long and Mark Bryant to the Nuggets. The Nuggets also received a conditional 2005 1st round pick from the Sixers and a 2004 2nd round pick from the Rockets.
