The Lakers have had discussions with the representatives for James Posey and Brent Barry to gauge interest, the L.A. Times are reporting.

Posey is a priority for the Celtics and should command the full mid-level exception, but Posey's representation is saying that his client has other options besides Boston although being a championship contender needs to be a condition.

"I would say so," Bartelstein said. "When you get a taste of a championship, you want to keep winning them. The Lakers are a great team."
