The Trail Blazers announced Brandon Roy's contract extension during a press conference on Friday.

Portland general manager Kevin Pritchard called Roy the franchise's pillar and that it was "an amazing day" for the team.

Roy's agent told the Associated Press that the extension is worth $80 million over five years.
