The Cavaliers were close to signing free agent guard Antonio Daniels, but opted not to.

Brian Windhorst of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports that the earlier-than-expected return of Delonte West and the strong shooting of Daniel Gibson kept the Cavaliers from adding Daniels.

When Daniels was released prior to the season, Cleveland wasn't sure when West would return and what they'd get from Gibson.
