Boston Has Little Leverage On Telfair Trade Talks

Prior to Sebastian Telfair's arrest, the Celtics could have dealt the young point guard away in a one-for-one package, but that possibility has supposedly evaporated.

Since the club has said that Telfair has played his final game for the Celtics, executive director of basketball operations Danny Ainge is left with little bargaining leverage.

Nuggets, Magic And Wolves Interested In Telfair?

Denver, Orlando and Minnesota are already being mentioned as possible new landing spots for Sebastian Telfair.

"I would think that the Celtics will try to get something for him," one Eastern Conference executive said Wednesday. "Once things settle down, I could see them looking to put him in a trade, being a guy who's included in a deal to make the numbers work. But somebody will take a shot on him. He's young and he made a mistake."

Celtics' Allen Acquitted In Chicago Shooting

Charges of aggravated battery against Boston Celtics guard Tony Allen were dismissed Tuesday in a Chicago court.

The development came on the second day of a trial stemming from a fight in August 2005 outside a restaurant near downtown Chicago.

"He was pretty happy about the outcome," Michael Higgins, Allen's agent, said. "I think this has been dragged out for too long. It's been a long time coming."
