Berger: I'm Bored With Gilbert Not Assigning Equal Blame To LeBron

Cavaliers' owner Dan Gilbert once again criticized sportswriters for what he believes is aimless conjecture that LeBron James could leave Cleveland after the 2010 season. "People in your profession are very bored on both sides of the country," Gilbert said. "There's no basketball going on so they write this stuff."

Ken Berger of Newsday, who has reported responsibly about the James' situation, has an alternative opinion.

"The only thing I'm bored with is Gilbert being oversensitive and not assigning equal blame to LeBron, who has done nothing to squash the persistent rumors," wrote Berger.

Gilbert: LeBron Departure Speculation 'Insult' To Cleveland

Dan Gilbert considers the speculation that LeBron James may leave the Cleveland Cavaliers after the 2010 season "an insult to the city."

He believes that the talk amounts to nothing more speculation from bored sports writers.

He says James has given no indication that he plans to leave for New York after his contract expires in 2010.

Ben Wallace: Cavs Have Chance To Win Title

Cavaliers' big man Ben Wallace believes that the team has a chance to win the NBA title this season, according to NBA.com.

"I like our roster right now. I like the pieces that we’ve added. Along with the veterans that are coming back, I think we have the opportunity to win a Championship," Wallace said. "But as far as that X-factor, you really don’t know that until you get in the flow of the season and see how things turn out."

Wallace, who was traded to Cleveland from Chicago in February, averaged 4.2 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks per game with the Cavaliers last season.
