Alexander Johnson Signs In Europe

Former NBA center Alexander Johnson has signed a deal with the Brose Baskets of Europe, according to The Hoop.

Johnson, who played at Florida State, was drafted by the Pacers in 2006, but played his rookie season with the Grizzlies.

He was last seen in the NBA with the Heat in 2007-08, playing 43 games and averaging 4.2 points and 2.2 rebounds per game.

Arroyo Says He's Ready To Lead Maccabi

Former Magic guard Carlos Arroyo says that he's ready to lead Maccabi Tel Aviv this season, according to Haaretz.

Arroyo, the highest-paid player in the team's history, arrived in Israel Monday night to a warm welcome from hundreds of fans.

"This is a very big step in my career," Arroyo said. "It'll be a great experience."

"I played a lot in the NBA, and I felt there was a need to make a change. I wanted to be a more effective player for my team, and with Maccabi I'll be able to be that," he added.

Troy Bell Hits Nine Threes In Italy

Troy Bell, a former first-round pick of the Celtics, hit nine three-pointers in his first exhibition game with the Gruppo Triboldi team in Italy, according to Pioneer Press.

Bell made 300 three-pointers in four years at Boston College but missed all four of his NBA attempts.
