Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has been tapped by Republican presidential candidate John McCain to be his running mate.
Palin was dubbed "Sarah Barracuda" by opponents when she was mayor of the town of Wasilla, Alaska, resurrecting a nickname she earned as a state champion high school basketball player, according to the Almanac of American Politics.

Former Florida Gators point guard Taurean Green has agreed to play for the Spanish club CAI Zaragoza, according to Alligator.
Green is in the process of negotiating what is believed to be a one-year deal with the team.
"I feel like this is the best move for me right now," he said. "The competition is tough. The guys playing in this league are good players."

Duke Coach Mike Krzyzewski will continue to be a part of USA Basketball in the future after leading the Americans to the gold medal in Beijing, according to ESPN.com.
Krzyzewski said Wednesday that he will continue to be involved in helping USA Basketball with the model that managing director Jerry Colangelo organized three years ago.
"It's a critical time to use the momentum we've gained over the past three years to make us even stronger in basketball," Krzyzewski said.
