Andris Biedrins joined the Warriors in practice on Thursday for the first time since his appendectomy last week, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
He didn't strain himself, simply throwing the ball around, taking some layups and moving around cautiously.
"Just to have him around and know he's OK and know he's going to be back with us soon, that's always a positive," Stephen Jackson told the Chronicle.

Golden State Warriors' forward/center Andris Biedrins underwent a successful appendectomy Thursday night, the team announced.
The procedure was performed by Dr. Bruce Moorstein at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center in Oakland. Biedrins will be sidelined indefinitely, and no timetable has been established for his return.

The Warriors are not looking to add a player with a long-term salary because of their concerns about re-signing Monta Ellis and Andris Biedrins.
But the San Francisco Chronicle reports that they would consider it for a Jermaine O'Neal or Elton Brand, but the likelihood is slim.
