Warriors Doubt How Ellis Injured Ankle
Monta told the team last Thursday that he had injured his left ankle working out in Jackson, Miss. However, as of Wednesday, not even Chris Mullin knew exactly what happened. "I was told he was working out in Jackson," was all Mullin had to say. Some team officials are rumored to believe that Ellis injured the ankle while playing pick-up basketball rather than simply working out. The Warriors are "talking about maybe spreading that ball around and getting scoring from different areas," Mullin said. "Marcus is more of a pass-first point guard (than Ellis).
