Miami's Wade And Haslem Will Miss Game Against Orlando

Dwyane Wade will miss Wednesday night's game against the Orlando Magic because of flu-like symptoms, and forward Miami forward Udonis Haslem will also sit due to a sprained left ankle, according to the Palm Beach Post.

The team is already without Shaquille O'Neal and Alonzo Mourning.

"There are still guys out here that have work to do," Mark Blount told the Post. "We are still going to play hard and compete. That's all we can do right now."

Heat Quiet On Trade Front?

Pat Riley says he meets with general manager Randy Pfund and vice president Andy Elisburg ''daily to discuss things,'but according to the Miami Herald all is quiet on the trade front and the team may not make any moves by the Feb. 21 trade deadline.

It is believed that Riley is only considering moves which will help the Heat beyond this season.

Short-Handed Celtics Hammer Heat

No Kevin Garnett and no Ray Allen, no problem.

The Celtics hammered the Heat from start to end in Miami on Tuesday night with the mysery finally coming to an end for the struggling Heat in the form of a 117-87 thrashing.

Heat Coach Pat Riley ended his postgame news conference questioning whether the team has the motivation to finish the season with competitive effort, according to the Miami Herald.

"I'm embarrassed," Riley said. "That was a very poor display. We were overwhelmed from the get-go. It wasn't even 10 minutes into the game. We just didn't bring it."
