Donnie Walsh seems to be broadening his coaching search as he has an eye on Phoenix coach Mike D'Antoni should the Suns decide to fire him, according to the New York Post.
A source close to Walsh leaked the rumor, as the probability of D'Antoni being fired after a first round exit against the Spurs increases.
"He wants to see how the playoffs unfold," the source said of Walsh. "Mark [Jackson] could still very well get the job, but even if you're 90 percent sure, you don't want to just hand him the job right away."
Aside from Jackson, Walsh appears interested in D'Antoni, Avery Johnson, Sam Mitchell and Flip Saunders.

Mark Jackson, considered the front-runner for the head coaching vacancy with the Knicks, is set to discuss the same job with the Bulls this week, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Bulls general manager John Paxson initially contacted Jackson last week about meeting with him for an interview.
Jackson has maintained that his preference would be to take over the helm of the Knicks, but appears to be keeping his options open.
Paxson has a number of candidates on his list, but will have to wait for several teams to be eliminated from the postseason in order to schedule interviews.
