Orien Greene, a third-year point guard, has agreed to terms with the Kings and is expected to sign this weekend, according to a league source.
Greene, who began his collegiate career at Florida and finished at Louisiana-Lafayette, spent his first two seasons playing in a limited role for Boston and Indiana after being drafted 53rd overall by the Celtics in 2005.
His contract is believed to be for one season and is only partially guaranteed, meaning he must win the backup point guard job during training camp in October.

Ron Artest still hasn't asked the Kings to trade him, but he reiterated that he wouldn't be upset if he got traded to the Knicks.
He did point out for the first time that he doesn't think a trade will happen this offseason because, "I don’t think anybody will give me up the way I’ve been working out this summer."

Ron Artest is one of the few professional athletes who can relate to what Michael Vick is about to endure, and the former LaSalle Academy and St. John's star is conflicted about the suspended Atlanta Falcons quarterback's future.
"I might get in trouble for this, but I want to call him," Artest said yesterday at The Palm Restaurant where he was promoting the Wheelchair Charities Hoop Game to be played Sept. 9 at the Garden.
"I want to support him and be there for him because [these are] tough times," continued Artest. "I don't support the dog fighting. I can't watch it. I can't imagine another dog biting a dog. It makes me nauseous."
