Jackson Back With The Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers have hired Phil Jackson as their head coach, as announced by Mitch Kupchak during a 5:00 press conference.

Jackson, who guided the Chicago Bulls to six NBA championships in his nine years as head coach, returned to the basketball after a one-year sabbatical and led the Los Angeles Lakers to the three NBA titles from 2000-2002.

He now returns after a year off from the team.
