Long before it became fashionable, Paul Pressey had his shirts custom-made to accommodate his unusually long arms.

He stands 6-feet-5, but his wingspan from fingertip to fingertip measures 7-1 -- roughly the length of Shaquille O'Neal.

Now in his second season as an assistant coach with the Magic, Pressey also made another fashion statement as an NBA player in the early '80s: He was regarded as the first "point-forward" in the league.

Grant Hill doesn't consider this as an insignificant bit of trivia on Pressey's resume. Just the opposite.

A 6-foot-8 forward by trade, Hill is playing the point in stretches for the Magic, just as he did at times with the Detroit Pistons. And he appreciates being able to turn to Pressey, whom Grant calls, "The original point-forward. It's like the commercial says, 'When in doubt, go with the original.' "
