Nick Van Exel's agent believes that his client will be traded before the February 19 Trading Deadline.

Tony Dutt believes that their is a 60-40 chance that the Golden State Warriors will make a move.

"My gut feeling is that they're going to try to make a deal that makes sense for Nick and makes sense for them,'' Dutt said in a telephone interview from Houston, where Van Exel has spent the week dealing with a family matter. An injured Van Exel is expected to be in the Bay Area today, but when he plays again is uncertain."

Yesterday, Jason Quick of the Portland Oregonian reported that the Golden State Warriors and Portland Trailblazers were discussing a deal that would send Van Exel and Erick Dampier to Portland for forward Rasheed Wallace.

Dutt believes that there is something to those rumors as he says he has had "really good dialogue'' with members of the Warriors' front office and that their is no question that the Warriors have talked to the Trailblazers.

If a trade does happen, Dutt expects to happen close to the February 19 Trading Deadline.
