According to Chicago Tribune columnist Sam Smith the Blazers are making the Rasheed Wallace and Isaiah Rider eras look like the good times.

A few weeks ago Darius Miles, owner of a new six-year, $42 million contract, raged at coach Maurice Cheeks with a stream of racial invective and threats to lose on purpose. Now it seems a proposal has been broached that the Blazers will repay Miles the $150,000 plus interest he lost from the two-game suspension. The Blazers deny this.

The rumored proposed agreement would ask Miles not to file a grievance against the team, which already has three--from Dale Davis, Vladimir Stepania and Qyntel Woods. The speculation around the NBA is Miles must know something embarrassing about the Blazers he'd disclose in arbitration.
