Antonio Daniels' agent Tony Dutt made an appearance at Salt Lake Community College and, at one point, slipped out the back door with Jazz vice president of basketball operations Kevin O'Connor. Dutt returned about 15 minutes later.

The Jazz are recruiting Daniels, an unrestricted free agent who averaged 11.2 points per game last season with the Sonics. But myriad other teams are also interested in him, including Miami, Portland, the L.A. Lakers, Washington, Toronto and Cleveland.

Asked about the Jazz's chances to sign his client, Dutt said, "We're continuing our dialogue. . . . We're looking at a lot of different things, and, the Jazz, I'm sure, are looking at a lot of different things as well."

Dutt continued: "We're slowly moving forward. By the end of the week, we should have a better idea" of what's going to happen.
