The deadline to extend the contracts of fourth-year players is 9 p.m. today. As of Sunday night, Warriors forward Mike Dunleavy still had no contract extension. Weeks of negotiations, which executive vice president of basketball operations Chris Mullin said were "good," have dwindled down to the final hours.

Of course, you can't tell by looking at Dunleavy, who took some ribbing from coach Mike Montgomery after Sunday's practice about shaving off his mustache.

"He's holding up pretty damn well," said forward Troy Murphy, who along with guard Jason Richardson was due for an extension before last season and didn't get it until the 11th hour. "He's better than J-Rich and I were last year.

"This time I just went home and laid in the bed, didn't want to leave, didn't want to do anything. I had the phone, checked to see if it was working and just waited. Yeah, he's holding up well."
