The Hornets may have more than they bargained in when they acquired Tyson Chandler from the Hornets, with signs during training camp pointing to a unity between star guard Chris Paul and the high flying big man.

"Tyson is one of those guys who runs the floor, and obviously you can throw him lobs from all over the place," said Hornets Coach Byron Scott, who coached alley-oop combo Jason Kidd and Kenyon Martin in New Jersey. "I think that's where you can compare the two. Jason was throwing lobs to Kenyon all the time. And C.P. is a great lob passer. They're trying to form that connection. The last couple of days, it seems to be coming."

Scott is quick to point out that this is one of the most athletic lineups he has ever had, reminiscent of the Nets' teams with another youthful, bouncy frontcourt player.

"I watched Kenyon Martin and what (Scott) did with him," Chandler said. "He really took Kenyon's game to another level. I feel like in the offense, me and Chris can do what Jason and Kenyon did for each other. And I'm excited about it. Really excited."
