Matt Barnes will be a free agent this summer and due to his superb play with the Warriors, will likely land a lucrative multi-year deal.
Said Barnes: "I've seen that (Boykins and Cardinal's cashing in elsewhere), but I'm with a good group of guys right now, and I have a great coach. So if I have an opportunity to stay here, I'd love to stay here."
"You've got to look at who's under the cap, because the Warriors can only do certain things," said his agent, Bill Neff. "But there's something to be said for playing where it makes you happy. ... Matt may just say, 'I don't care, I want to play for Don.'"
