Philadelphia 76ers President Billy King announced today that the Sixers have re-signed forward Alan Henderson to a contract for the remainder of the season. Per team policy, terms of the contract are not disclosed.
 
A 6-foot-9 forward, Henderson started the 2006-07 season with the Sixers, averaging 3.5 points and 3.1 rebounds in 34 games (5 starts). On Feb. 22, 2007, the Sixers traded the 12-year NBA veteran to the Utah Jazz for the rights to exchange second round draft picks in the 2007 NBA Draft. In addition the Jazz received cash considerations from the Sixers. The Jazz requested waivers on Henderson on March 2, 2007.

Henderson has averaged 7.9 points and 5.0 rebounds in 648 career games (220 starts) while playing with four teams: Atlanta (1995-2004), Dallas (2004-05), Cleveland (2005-06) and Philadelphia (2006-07).
