Rodney Buford, former NBA player, was banned for three months by FIBA on Wednesday for testing positive for cannabis.

Buford, who plays for Maccabi Tel Aviv, has been temporarily banned since Feb. 2, and will be out until May 2.

Cannabis was discovered in Buford's doping sample after a Euroleague game against Cibona Zagreb last November, FIBA said.

The federation "takes into consideration that he openly admitted his anti-doping rule violation," the FIBA decision said.
