Larry Hughes participated in a shooting drill at Friday morning's shootaround, but he missed his third straight game due to a left knee bruise that he suffered against the Phoenix Suns.

Hughes was out of action against the Sacramento Kings on Friday, but Hughes said he is feeling better.

"I'm walking a lot better without any strain," said Hughes, who is shooting 27.3 percent from the field in three games. "I just have to get my running where there's no strain, and then I'll be good. I don't want to go out there limping."

The Cavs play again on Sunday in Los Angeles against the Clippers. That's when Hughes could return.

"It's day by day, and we'll see how it feels," Hughes said. "From [last] Sunday until now, it has gotten better. There's a little strain when I try to plant. But I want the option to be able to shoot and drive. But right now I feel pretty good."
