Fourth-year center Robert Swift likely will miss another month because of knee tendinitis and plantar fasciitis, the Seattle Times are reporting.

Swift, who turns 22 on Monday, has played in just five of the team's 16 games because of a soreness in his surgically repaired right knee.

Sonics' Coach P.J. Carlesimo said Friday morning that Swift had his knee examined by Los Angeles Lakers' doctor Stephen Lombardo, who performed the anterior cruciate ligament surgery a year ago.

Lombardo recommended rest to heal the knee and the recurring pain in Swift's left foot. Swift will not practice for at least two more weeks and then could require another two weeks to work himself into game condition.

"I think it's more the plantar fascia than anything else," Carlesimo said. "He needs at least two more weeks. He's going to be out for a bit. He's a couple of weeks away from any kind of basketball workout. He's going to a lot of individual stuff in the next couple of weeks and a lot of rehab and conditioning."
