An NBA executive familiar with Donnie Walsh?s plans said late Thursday night that Mark Jackson has emerged as the Knicks' leading head coach candidate.
Jackson?s hiring, the NBA source said, would be followed with Walsh reaching out to Patrick Ewing to be a part of the coaching staff.
