The Phoenix Suns are still hoping to have second round selection Goran Dragic in uniform this season as the backup for Steve Nash, the East Valley Tribune is reporting.

Tau Ceramica have looked at Andre Barrett and possibly Earl Boykins as potential replacements for Dragic should he leave, with the buyout still being the biggest hurdle.

Dragic's buyout is believed to be 1 million euros, or about $1.5 million U.S., after next season, but if both sides can form an agreement on a settlement early he could leave this year.

Phoenix can only contribute $500,000 towards a buyout, however, and if Dragic was to leave this year it is believed that the settlement would be higher than next year's buyout price.
