Boston coach Don Rivers says he expects star forward Kevin Garnett to be ready when the Celtics begin their playoff push, but believes that even without Garnett being fully healthy they can take their second consecutive title.

"I believe that," he said before Boston's game against the Charlotte Bobcats. "Defensively is where we need him. Offensively we need his shot and all that, his leadership on the floor. And I think he will be 100 percent or close to it."

According to the report by the Associated Press, Garnett will miss the next three games, but there is a chance that he will play in Boston's final three before the playoffs begin.
