Courtney Lee wondered after Sunday's Game 2 loss if he should have tried to dunk the lob pass he received at the end of regulation.

Lee received the out of bounds pass from Hedo Turkoglu, and missed a layup attempt. A made shot would have ended the game, tying the NBA Finals at a one game apiece.

"It was a good play, it was a good pass," Lee said. "Coach did a good job of drawing up the right play and I caught it. I tried to get the ball up as quick as possible and then it rolled off the rim."

Pau Gasol did the best he could to contest Lee near the rim, which might have forced the rookie into a rushed attempt.

"I was surprised he was kind of wide open," Gasol said. "But I tried to contest it as good as I could and then we gave ourselves a chance to win the ballgame."

The pass may have led him a bit too far, but after the game Lee was asked if he felt he could have dunked the lob.

"I probably could have," said Lee.  "I can't say. It was a lob. You usually try to dunk lobs, but in certain situations you can't."
