Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook is trying to reduce his turnovers heading into the season.

Westbrook had 10 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists in 26 minutes against Phoenix on Monday night. In the win, the second-year guard turned the ball over just three times.

"It is the preseason, but that's all we have to judge Russell Westbrook on right now," Thunder coach Scott Brooks told the Oklahoman. "We still have some work to do, but with Russell, like I've said many times before, he's only 20 years old and for the next 10 years you're going to see a lot of improvement."

Westbrook led the NBA in turnovers last year, but has 27 assists and just five turnovers in the preseason.
