Wizards forward Caron Butler sat out Tuesday's win over the 76ers because of a sore right ankle.
Washington coach Flip Saunders said that an MRI revealed fluid in the ankle and that the forward simply needed additional rest.
Butler is averaging 16.8 points and seven rebounds per game this season.
