Westphal Opens Up Lines Of Communication In Sacramento

Kings coach Paul Westphal says that any of his players can approach him about their role with the team.

"I'm always available to talk if anybody wants to talk," Westphal said. "I want it to be crystal clear what their role is. If I think we need to clarify something, I'll go to the player, and I want them to be able to do same thing."

Westphal has used reserve Omri Casspi every night, but guys like Jon Brockman and Ime Udoka have been used less consistently.

"Communication is key," Brockman said. "That helps more than anything ? just knowing what's going on, what the different scenario is. It helps just to have that assurance, that peace of mind of knowing what's going on and not playing guessing games."
