Suns center Amare Stoudemire has helped lead the team to a 15-7 record and feels as though he's shaken off all the rust he accumulated this offseason.

Stoudemire missed seven months of action following eye surgery, the longest stretch he had spent away from the game since he began playing.

"I feel like the rust is pretty much gone. I'm good to go, feel great, body's healthy," he told ESPN's Marc Stein. "Mentally out there on the basketball court ... I really don't [think about the eye]. I just go out there and play."

Stoudemire is averaging 19.1 points and 7.6 rebounds in 34.0 minutes per game for the Suns.

He also addressed Phoenix's success this fall, which many didn't expect after they missed the playoffs last season.

"I think, one, we've got guys just really great [at] playing their roles. For the most part we started off our training camp, implemented our offensive schemes and really got into it and guys bought into it," Stoudemire added.

"And, you know, Stoudemire's healthy. I think that helps a lot, with me being back on the basketball court and being injury-free. That all factors in to it."
