Carmelo Anthony was named Western Conference Player of the Week for games played Monday, Jan. 11 through Sunday, Jan. 17, the NBA announced on Tuesday.  

Stephen Jackson received the award for the Eastern Conference.

Anthony, who leads the NBA in scoring at 30.0 ppg, averaged 29.3 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 3.0 apg and 2.00 spg in three games last week, while helping Denver to home wins over Minnesota (1/11), Orlando (1/13) and division-rival Utah (1/17). He posted 24 points vs. the Timberwolves; notched 27 points, seven rebounds, five assists and two steals vs. the Magic; and scored 37 points to go along with eight boards and three steals vs. the Jazz.
