Timberwolves executive David Kahn said prior to free agency that he planned to contact two players.
Shortly after the frenzy began, those two players were identified as David Lee and Rudy Gay.
Gay will meet with the Wolves on Thursday in Minneapolis, while Lee will sit down with the team over the weekend.
He is a restricted free agent, which means the Grizzlies can match any offer sheet he signs. Memphis owner Michael Heisley has repeatedly said that he'll re-sign Gay.
