Bulls point guard Derrick Rose is glad that big man Joakim Noah is still his teammate.

Rumors swirled this offseason that Noah might be dealt to the Nuggets as part of a blockbuster trade for Carmelo Anthony.

"I knew that he really wasn't going anywhere," Rose said on "The Waddle & Silvy Show" on ESPN 1000. "If we would have let him go we still would have been looking for someone to replace him because [Carlos Boozer] would be the only one down there."

"Who wouldn't want to play with Carmelo? He's a great player. It was a hard decision but I'm happy [Noah] came back and that the Bulls made the decision to extend his contract. I know the organization and the fans are happy."
