According to a source, if the Nuggets don't trade Carmelo Anthony within the next week, the team is likely to wait until December 15 when the pool of available players will grow.  The Nuggets appear to be leaning toward starting the season with Anthony on their roster.

The earlier four-team trade that would have sent Anthony to New Jersey was reportedly vetoed by owner Stan Kroenke who did not want to add at least $6 million to Denver's luxury tax bill in the process of losing its franchise player.
