The Indiana Pacers (22-28) held off the Charlotte Bobcats (22-30) for a key win in the Eastern Conference playoff race on Wednesday night. Roy Hibbert starred with 29 points and 10 rebounds, Darren Collison posted 15 points and five assists and Danny Granger scored 25 points on 9-for-17 shooting. Indiana outscored Charlotte 22-9 on the fast break and shot 45% from three-point land. Stephen Jackson led with 27 points on 9-for-20 shooting, Gerald Wallace tallied 22 points, nine rebounds and six assists and Gerald Henderson added nine points and eight boards off the bench.

The woes of the Cleveland Cavaliers (8-45) continued as they lost to the Detroit Pistons (20-33) at the Quicken Loans Arena. Rodney Stuckey had 22 points and four assists, Tayshaun Prince tallied 10 points and five rebounds and Will Bynum contributed 17 points and seven dimes. Cleveland shot 51.4% from the field, but committed 17 turnovers. J.J. Hickson had 18 points and 15 rebounds, Antawn Jamison posted 22 points and seven boards and Ramon Sessions stuffed the stat sheet with 20 points, 12 assists, six rebounds and five steals.

Sasha Vujacic led with 25 points on 9-for-14 shooting off the bench, Kris Humphries posted 14 points and 15 rebounds and Lopez put up 20 points and seven boards. New Jersey outrebounded New Orleans by three and both teams were hot from three-point land. David West starred with 32 points and 15 rebounds, Chris Paul tallied nine points and 11 assists and Marco Belinelli scored 17 points on 6-for-10 shooting in 24 minutes.

The Orlando Magic (34-20) outlasted the Philadelphia 76ers (24-28) at the Wells Fargo Center. Dwight Howard starred with 30 points and 17 rebounds, Jameer Nelson tallied 12 points and eight assists and Earl Clark helped with nine points and eight boards in 23 minutes. Orlando used just eight players and held Philadelphia to 42% shooting. Andre Iguodala had 21 points and eight assists, Elton Brand posted 12 points and five rebounds and Lou Williams came off the bench to score 23 points on 9-for-15 shooting in the loss.

Washington outrebounded Milwaukee by 12, while committed 17 turnovers. Brandon Jennings had 20 points and five rebounds, Andrew Bogut tallied 12 points and 11 boards and Ersan Ilyasova recorded 10 points and nine rebounds.

San Antonio hit 58% of their shots and outrebounded Toronto by nine. Andrea Bargnani scored 29 points on 13-for-20 shooting, Amir Johnson posted 12 points and 13 rebounds and DeMar DeRozan added 25 points, four boards and four dimes.

Los Angeles shot 54.7% from the field and held New York to 6-for-26 shooting from downtown. Amar’e Stoudemire had 23 points and five rebounds, Raymond Felton tallied 17 points and 12 assists and Danilo Gallinari contributed 21 points and five boards in defeat.

Al Jefferson had 26 points and eight rebounds, Deron Williams posted 11 points and 12 assists and Paul Millsap totaled 20 points and 14 boards.

The Dallas Mavericks (37-15) held off the Sacramento Kings (12-37) to record their 10th straight victory on Wednesday night. Jason Terry scored 22 points on 7-for-14 shooting, Jason Kidd posted 14 points, eight rebounds and five assists and Jose Juan Barea had 15 of his 20 points in the fourth quarter. Sacramento outrebounded Dallas by nine, but the Mavericks held the Kings to 3-for-13 shooting from downtown. Samuel Dalembert led with 20 points and seven rebounds, DeMarcus Cousins tallied 19 points and 15 boards and Tyreke Evans chipped in 16 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists.

Ellis starred with 37 points and five assists, David Lee tallied 16 points and 12 rebounds and Dorell Wright stuffed the stat sheet with 23 points, 11 boards, eight dimes and four steals. Both teams shot over 51%, but Golden State committed four fewer turnovers. Carmelo Anthony scored 29 points on 11-for-21 shooting, Nene posted 17 points and six rebounds and Al Harrington recorded 18 points and eight boards as a reserve.
